Lever/Lever
Lever door handles operate a multi point lock using the Euro cylinder. They can be found on a majority of double doors made of aluminium, upvc doors and some wooden doors. Sprung - These include a spring cassette installed within the backplate to help to bring the handle lever into a horizontal position. Once located you can loosen the set screw using a screwdriver and take it off to allow the lever to return to the horizontal position.
When the handle is in a horizontal position you can re-install the screws and tighten them so that the handle stays fixed to the base plate. You may want to apply a threadlocking solution to the threads of the screw to improve grip and prevent them from loosing over time.
There are a myriad of reasons that door handles for levers drop. The most frequent cause is that the fixings aren't tight and the lever bearing to bind up against the door. It could also be that the levers aren't operated in a straight line and this is compressing the latch mechanism and preventing it from fully springing back into operation.
